Celebrating their debut album release, wannabe dad-rock folk band T.A.N.C invite you to their banging launch party. Sadly Ed Dowie will no longer be able to perform due to illness.
The All Night Chemist
The All Night Chemist are the newest wannabe dad-rock folk band on the London scene. Just a bit too earnest to be truly tongue and cheek, their songs celebrate and mock the mundane while stirring the soul. Anything from cheesy pop bangers about mobile phones, to moody trad folk exploring the modern-day fur industry, their music has storytelling at its heart.
Taking inspiration from the likes of Neil Young, Flaming Lips and They Might Be Giants, expect a 70s inspired alt-country romp.
‘Daft and Irresistible’ - Tom Robinson, BBC 6 Music
Fritillaries
Fritillaries is the folk/Americana songwriter project from Hannah Pawson, a Bristol-based musician playing her songs on guitar and banjo. Her recent songs have their hands in the soil and take a compassionate look at the shadowy parts of ourselves.
Fritillaries’ music is sometimes upbeat and bold, sometimes slow and contemplative and is always original and engaging, combining Americana instrumentation and English folk roots with pop.
"Wonderful" - Cerys Matthews, BBC 6 Music
‘Touchingly poetic, Fritillaries is an enthrallingly scenic, tranquil and fruitful debut … capturing the purity, inventiveness and talent of the duo’s playing’ - Folk Radio UK
